How much does branding cost in Rwanda?
What actually drives the price of a logo or brand identity in Rwanda, how to compare quotes from Kigali agencies, and how to get a quote that fits your budget.
The short answer: it depends on scope
Ask five branding agencies in Kigali for a price and you will get five very different numbers. That is not because someone is overcharging; it is because “branding” can mean a single logo file or a complete identity system with strategy, guidelines and dozens of applications.
The most useful thing you can do before asking for a quote is decide what you actually need right now, and what can wait until the business grows.
What drives the cost
Strategy. A project that starts with positioning, audience and naming work takes longer than one that starts from a clear brief, and it usually produces a stronger result.
Number of deliverables. A logo alone is one thing. Add a colour and type system, brand guidelines, business cards, social templates, signage and a company profile, and the effort multiplies.
Rounds of refinement. Every round of concepts and revisions is design time. A clear decision-maker on your side keeps this efficient.
Where the brand has to work. A brand that must perform on an app icon, a shopfront, a vehicle and a website needs more versions and testing than one used only on social media.
How to compare quotes
Compare what is included, not just the total. Check whether the quote covers vector source files, versions for light and dark backgrounds, an app icon or favicon, and simple usage rules. A cheaper quote that leaves these out often costs more later.
Look at the agency’s previous work for businesses like yours, and ask who will actually do the design.
